My favorite teenager!!!!
As many of you might know, I absolutely adore my stepson. He knows this, but I don't think he realizes. Since the girls have come along & he has become a teenager, I find that we are growing farther away from eachother. Sometimes, I feel like it's my fault that I can't find a balance to give him the same amount of attention (as before the M&M girls). It is just so hard because they aren't independent in ANY way. Did I push him aside? Everybody tells me, "Oh! He's just a teenager. That's how boys are at that age. Their world is centered around them. Don't take it personal. You remember what it was like (being a teenager). Etc..." I just never thought things would be (or feel) different. Maybe I am being emotional, maybe I do take things personal...whatever. I just want my buddy to come back. I know that hanging out with babies and a stepmom doesn't sound all that exciting, but I think I'm still cool (even though he has me questioning myself, "Am I a dork? No!!"). I just wish he wasn't so distant. Will the sweet, social, family-oriented, non-sarcastic Michael come back? And, if so...WHEN???!!?! (P.S. I still love you, Michael. Don't ever think otherwise!)
Here are my two favorite pics of the HaNdSoMe TeeNaGeR. (I tried to find older pics to show you the sweet, young boy-but they weren't taken with a digital camera & I haven't scanned those prints yet!):
Watch out Abercrombie Models!!! Zac Efron WHO!???! I was so amazed that I even got this picture...He protests to taking pictures now!
Basketball Pimpin'!

The Adventures of Farty-Toot and the Mysterious Toddler
I know that one day she will be SO embarrassed that I even shared this story, but I can't help myself! The other day, Mike and I were taking the girls to get their Spring pictures taken (yes, a little late...but Spring is not over yet). We heard a suspect sound from the backseat-specifically from the seat directly behind me (which is where Princess Maysie sits). Then, we heard a little voice say, "Farty-Toot!" We busted up laughing hysterically!!! Where does she come up with these things? It's moments like that one that make me look forward to the adventures of everyday!
Here is a picture of my Farty-Tooter (Oh yes! I am so happy that she can FiNaLLy rock a ponytail!):On another note, I peeked into Mylie's crib the other night and realized that my little baby was not in there! Some strange toddler that looked like Mylie was in there instead. Did I blink?! She is growing up TOO fast! It all changes when they start walking!

From The Oprah Show
After watching Oprah this morning, I jumped on the computer and sent off letters to my Senators to protect the Adam Walsh Child Protection Act. It is the act that requires sex offenders to register and stay updated. Oprah's team has provided a letter (to print or copy/paste for e-mail) and links to find contact info for state senators, congressmen/women, and representatives. Here is the link to Oprah.com: http://www.oprah.com/article/oprahshow/20090220-tows-adam-walsh-act

ThE hApPiEsT pLaCe On EaRtH!
So, I finally have a moment to love my blog. I want to dedicate this blog to Disneyland! We decided to go to Disneyland over Spring Break. I know my girls won't remember this trip, but they provided me with several memories! I will never forget the look on Maysie's face when we walked in. She was so overwhelmed. She was is shock. She couldn't even speak! It looked like she was trying not to blink! Mylie is definitely still too young, but she did get to meet a few characters and ride a few rides.
I was so excited that right when we walked in, most of the main characters were out (Donald, Goofy, Minnie, Pluto, and the main mouse himself-M-I-C-K-E-Y-M-O-U-S-E!! How many of you sang THE song??!! Hee Hee! I did!). We only had time to get pics with Mickey & Pluto (they had to go get ready for the parade). Right after, we HAD to get Maysie her ears...which she wouldn't take off. She even wore them the whole car ride home to LV and to bed! I had to hide them because she started throwing fits over them...she would probably still have them on!
I love that Pluto took a moment to greet Mylie. She wasn't even scared!
On the way to Toon Town! Maysie loved holding hands with Mike & Michael!
Maysie had a BLAST in Mickey's house! She didn't want to leave. She even made herself cozy.
Maysie saw Pluto (again) in Toon Town! She didn't want to leave him. She had a very good conversation with him (she was able to talk at this time). She told him where his eyes, nose, and mouth were. She even kissed his nose (yes, the photographer missed that shot)! But, I didn't miss this hug! I was so proud of the characters. I was NOT disappointed.
We actually stayed at Disneyland until closing. The girls passed out (our wonderful friends Tilo & Maria watched them) and Mike, Michael, (their son) Steven, and I went on the FUN rides! The next day, we went to the California Adventure Park. We had lunch with the Princesses at Ariel's Grotto, went on a few rides, and left to drive back home. Maysie & Mylie were melting down...Mike was too! I left with one note to self: Bring Lau-Lau next time (Lau-Lau is Chinese for grandma & that is what we call my mom) ! I know I left out so much, but I'm sure you want this post to end! The last 2 pictures are both of Maysie when we left the park each day. Can you tell which picture goes with which day? (How funny..she's pointing in both pictures!)
**Don't worry! I will have a post with Mylie enjoying Disneyland the way Maysie did! Mike says it will be 5 (or more) years...I say, "Yeah, Right!!!"***

Post for my B.F.F. MeLiSsA...
This post is dedicated to Melissa from The White House! She has been dying to see pics from my new camera & hear all about my vacation. Sorry to disappoint you, Melissa. Vacation pictures are soon to come. I just want to take a hot shower, read my new Jodi Picoult book, & go to sleep. Hey, something is better than nothing though, right?
As you all know, I have been going through months of deciding what kind of camera I wanted. After 5 months of "deliberation," I found what I wanted! It is the Nikon Coolpix P90. It is Nikon's new digital camera. It has some features like an SLR, but it is still a digital camera...whatever all that means. I just like that it has a pretty far zoom, it's lightweight, and it has 12.1 megapixels (for printing big pictures-up to 20 x 30). I am still learning how to use it, but here is a picture I took of a beautiful flower from a park in Whittier, CA. Disclaimer: I am SO not a photographer! We went there to celebrate our friends' daughter's 1st birthday. While we were down there, we also HAD to visit the HaPpIeSt pLaCe On EaRtH!!! (Disneyland pictures will follow soon. I just haven't had any time to blog much. Between vacations, meltdowns, Easter, and EVERYTHING else...my poor blog has been neglected. Oh well... I'm already over it! I know I'll be back to blogging soon.)
