Okay, Maysie never did this, so I am going crazy having to get used to the fact that I have a Toilet Tosser! Mylie gets a hold of anything and heads straight for the toilet. Nothing is safe! Toys, Cell phones (Yep! Mine went for a swim!), TV Remotes (not the toy ones, folks)! She will even take trash from the garbage and toss it in.
See... I got smart once the cell phone went in. I put the lid down and shut bathroom doors. I won't name names, but the guy that doesn't put the toilet seat down hasn't been affected (yet) so he doesn't follow suit. I'm sure once he's been hit, he will be singing a different tune!
In light of the situation, Pankie (see What Ouch Post) taught us that if you take items that get wet, open up the battery compartment, take out the batteries, shake out excess water, and lay the wet item on a bed of uncooked white rice- you might be able to save the electronic device. I was given the privileged information after it was too late to save my cell phone; but, it was just in time to save the TV Remote. You must do it soon after-for about a day. The remote is now full functioning (we tried to use it a little too soon-about half the buttons worked)!!! Old people can be SO wise!

ReplyDeleteEthan was a toilet tosser (come to think of it, I think they've each had a toilet tossing phase)... I never coined a name for it, so I'm going to steal your "Toilet Tosser." The funniest thing Jace ever tossed into the toilet was a bottle of mustard. Needless to say, we pitched that bottle of mustard.
